Símbolos

Uma professora de português brasileiro que sigo no Instagram (chama-se i.loveportuguese_andenglish se queres saber) fez uma imagem com vários símbolos úteis do mundo online. Apercebi-me de que apenas conhecia um deles! Portanto, decidi de fazer uma pesquisa. Os símbolos foram os seguintes:

@ Arroba

_ Underscore / Subtraço (I know it looks like “subtraction” but it’s an underscore not a minus sign!)

– Hífen (the longer line is travessão)

. Ponto

# Cardinal (or Cerquilha or – delightfully – “Jogo de velha”). The word “hashtag” seems to be used, like a lot of very tech-specific English words

/ Barra (wasn’t in the original list but seems useful for urls)

lowercase letras minúsculas

UPPERCASE LETRAS MAIÚSCULAS


Addition

This isn’t really an internet-specific one but I’ve noticed people using “entre aspas” in spoken portuguese to indicate something is in inverted commas
